5 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1 – Arrival and visit Fes with a Local Guide.

We meet at the airport or Hotel, and you will begin to explore Fes, the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys, we visit the gate of the Royal Palace, the Jewish barracks and the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 16th century. We will ensure that you visit all the sites with cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest, the tanneries, the Attarine museum and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. You will visit the tile cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes accommodation in Riads .

Day 2 – Fes – Ifrane –  Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast in Riad we left for Merzouga passing through Ifrane , Moroccan Switzerland. We will pass through the cedar forest where we will enter to enjoy the view of the monkeys climbing the hills. Then we will continue through the Middle Atlas to the Ziz Valley. Then we will go to the city of Erfoud, famous for being the capital of fossils. In the afternoon, we will take the dromedaries to spend a splendid night in the middle of the dunes where we will sleep in a nomadic tent with Berber music and a starry sky.

Day 3 – Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

This day, get up early to watch the sunrise from a large dune, then shower and have breakfast at the camp. Next we will take the route to the Dades Valley passing through the city of Rissani where we will stop briefly to visit its traditional market, considered the largest in the South of Morocco . Then we will continue towards the Toudra Gorges to reach the Dades Valley, we will have accommodation in a charming Riad.

Day 4 – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech.

After breakfast, we will pass through the Rose Valley and Sakoura. Then we will visit the famous fortified Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou , on the banks of the Ounila River. Multiple films have been filmed there such as Babel, Gladiator , Aladdin. Afterwards we will have lunch and cross the High Atlas until we reach Marrakech and sleep in a Riad in the Medina .

Day 5 – Guided tour and transfer to Marrakech Airport

After breakfast we go on a tour to visit Marrakech . Stories tell that the city was inhabited by a tribe on the other side of the Atlas, with large quantities of dates, and the bones, born from a palm called “the red city” due to the color of its walls and full of gardens, watered through underground wells (khettaras), which were built by the Almorabitin and Saharan nomads in the 11th century. We will visit the Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia and pass through souks in the Medina . In the afternoon airport transfer, and will end our 5 days tour from Fes to Marrakech and we hope to see you again.
